Partying Like it's 2019: Gay Adult Performer Hosts NYC CoronaRave

The Met Gala may have been canceled, but an event that's being called the Meth Gala took place this week, thanks to adult performer Ian Frost, according to a story in the New York Post.

And social media pics from the event, which took place at a New York City location on Monday night replete with a DJ, have gone viral with Frost getting hit hard.

Frost made 51 Instagram posts following the party on his account; but after a wave of negative comments greeted them, he deleted his account.

"The footage shared on social media showed a mostly shirtless crowd dancing together under strobe lights," writes the Post.

DJ Alec Brian, who played at the party, said he has "been taking all precautions to socially distance, wear a mask," as well as wash his hands throughout the pandemic.

But he took the gig out of economic necessity.

"As many of us are now unemployed, I had an opportunity to avail myself of some needed money to pay my bills," he wrote on Instagram. "If I have insulted anyone or made anyone feel uncomfortable by this event, I sincerely apologize as that was certainly not my intent."

When not party planning, Frost said he's keeping himself occupied as he sheltered at home. "I'm a master in terms of entertaining. It'd be impossible for me to get bored actually," he told DNA Magazine in an interview last month. "I cook and eat three times a day so that's already a good time invested in that. When not cooking, I'm researching and designing my soon-to-be-launched clothing label. I've also been making and altering my own clothes and I'm doing yoga after a long hiatus.

"You'll also find me at the piano playing and singing, painting, cleaning the house, video-calling friends and family. My flatmate bought a ping-pong table, so I'm also becoming a champion at ping-pong."

But the response from social media came fast and furious:
