This bear pool party was the place to be on Saturday afternoon during Pride weekend in Ft. Lauderdale. The place was packed and the music was great,the perfect way to start the Pride celebrations. EDGE was there and here are the photos.

Alibis kicked off the Pride celebration with a big block-style party right on the drive! The event featured a video setup where VJ Barry Browder kept the crowd dancing to the most classic pride music videos. EDGE celebrated Pride with the stars, here are the pics!

Gathering alongside the Providence River RI Pride held their 35th annual Pride Festival. Celebrating all of the advances since 1976 thousands came together to see friends, shop the vendors and enjoy the entertainment including the headliner Thelma Houston. EDGE had a lot of fun and got all these photos for you to enjoy.
2011 RI Pride Festival Club Parties :: June 18, 2011
The parties went on into the night in downtown Providence. The energy was high and so many were out that EDGE kept moving from party to party all night long. We went to the Courtyard Party at The Stable, The Providence Bear’s Party at Union / Eagle, The Mega Dance Block Party at Mirabar, and the Bacardi Block Party at The Dark Lady / Alley Cat. So much to see and do and we got it all for you!
Folsom Street Fair:: June 19, 2011
As usual the Folsome Street Fair had a huge crowd for the granddaddy of all leather events. Leather lovers came to enjoy a day made just for them.

Hangover Drag Brunch @ Downcity Restaurant :: June 19, 2011
They worked all day and night at the RI Pride Festival, the Pride Parade and the Club Parties (and after parties) and after little or no sleep they arrived at Downcity for the annual Hangover Drag Brunch. Jacqueline DiMera, Haley Star, and Victoria Star arrived a little worse for wear, but after a couple of drinks, a room full of cute boys and some bacon they were ready to give a fun show. Target’s sponsorship of 3 Pride groups and its support of an anti-gay politician brings up the queasy balance of the need for money to put on these now-giant celebrations and whether accepting such gifts marks tacit approval of such corporate policies.
Next Magazine Pride Party :: June 17, 2011
The Pride celebrations start on different dates but most would agree that the real kick-off to this amazing week of festivities is the Next magazine Pride party. Held at the plush W hotel in midtown with DJ Johnny Dynell spinning and the usual open bar with tons of great giveaways, this party put us all in happy Pride mode.
Stonewall Street Festival and Parade :: June 19, 2011
The highlight of Fort Lauderdale’s Pride week is the Stonewall Street Festival and Parade. Named after the famous NYC riots that initiated the gay rights movement, this parade is still a celebration of our human rights in today’s society, HIV/AIDS awareness and diversity. This famous Pride event starts with a street festival early in the afternoon, followed by the parade and club dancing on the closed down Wilton Manors’ drive. This year’s event brought over 25 thousand people who celebrated gay pride in Ft. Lauderdale. EDGE joined this big party, here are the pics!
2011 NY Pride Rally :: June 18, 2011
SummerStage in Central Park is the venue that hosts the Pride Rally that officially kicks-off the celebrations in NYC. Ross Matthews, of late night TV with his sharp and witty humor hosted the event together with fellow comedian Christine O’Leary. There was a bit of everything: The sensational Oh Land, a performance by the cast of Priscilla, a number by The Imperial Court of New York, The Lavender Light Gospel chorus, the hilarious Adam Sank and also an amazingly moving speech by Damian Furtch among others.

Alibi started the pride celebrations with its annual Miss Alibi’s Turnabout Pageant. This fun event turns the staff members into drag queens who perform their favorite songs for the title. EDGE was on site and captured these great shots at the red carpet and during the show!
