It was a beautiful day for the 2011 Long Beach Pride Parade. This Year’s parade included Grand Marshal Stephanie Miller, Community Grand Marshal Cory Allen, Community Grand Marshal Tonya Martin, Morris Kight Political Grand Marshal The Trevor Project, and Whitey Littlefield Bridge Builder Lysa Gamboa-Levy.

Moscow Defies EU Court, Bans 2011 Pride
Moscow has directly defied a ruling from the European Court of Human Rights in banning a planned Pride celebration in the city. Moreover, Moscow authrotities announced the ban on May 17--the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHO).

This year’s Youth Pride theme was "We are Making it Better". Thousands of gay youth and their supporters showed up for this annual event. The highlight of the afternoon was "RuPaul’s Drag Race Season Two" star Jessica Wild who performed and signed autographs. Jim Clerkin from Kiss 108 and Raquel Blake hosted the day’s event.
New Hope Gay Pride :: May 14, 2011
"Freedom to Be" was the theme for the eighth annual New Hope Celebrates Pride parade, which ambled, tooted and trotted down Ferry and So. Main Streets in the borough this past Saturday. The parade was filled with music from The Philadelphia Freedom Band and The Gay and Lesbian Big Apple Corps Marching Band, floats, flag-twirlers, Mummers, colorful entertainers, families and many friends of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered as well as allied community. It even included recognizing former Congressman Patrick Murphy for his efforts in repealing "Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell". After the parade everyone went to Mechanic Street where the party went into full swing with local performers and some surprises. EDGE was there to capture all the festivities!

Superhero Soiree was a VIP evening celebrating the kickoff of Miami Beach Gay Pride 2011, bringing together celebrities such as menswear designer Chistopher Bates, amazing music with special guest DJ Scotty Thomson, and a special appearance by DJ Tracy Young. Also appearing was a constellation of stars, including MBGP 2011 Grand Marshal and Bravo Emmy Award winner, Andy Cohen, cast members from Bravo’s reality show, "The Real Housewives of Miami," Michael Holtz (Mr. Gay World Runner-Up, Mr. Gay USA 2010. Miami celebrated Pride for the third year in a row this past Saturday with a big Parade on Ocean Drive in South Beach! The colorful event brought over a thousand people to this well-known and happening street and featured amazing floats, costumes and lots of joy from people who choose to embrace diversity and love with Pride!
