RI Pride Festival Club Parties :: June 20, 2009
EDGE trekked all over downtown Providence after the Pride Parade to visit Wheels’ party and the Block Parties at Energy, Providence Eagle and Union, Mirabar, and the Dark Lady’s and Alley Cat’s Circus Themed Block Parties. W Hotel Pride Party :: June 24, 2009
The W Hotel Pride event was a fun party to celebrate Pride week in NYC, put together by the W hotel, Undergear Store and Broadway Cares. Guests mixed and mingled among the breeze of the skyscrapers; It was an exclusive evening of cocktails in the W’s new E-WOW terrace and suite where models showed part of the newest Undergear collection. Raffle ticket proceeds went directly to Broadway Cares. Here are the pics!

2009 New York Gay Pride Parade :: June 28, 2009
With a warm, sunny day at their backs, 500,000 participants marched down the Lavendar Line on 5th Avenue from 52nd to the Village, cheered on by over a million spectators. It was the 40th anniversary of Stonewall - and the annual New York Gay Pride Parade bore witness to all that the community has achieved... and the rights for which we’re still fighting. EDGE has tons of photos from the historic event - here they are!

That dominatrix voice belying the gentle soul beneath the crack exterior, the warm heart behind the class sass, Alan T. played the court jester to Rauhofer’s prince-and the two of them had the crowd at Roseland gagging with pleasure.

Alegria in Wonderland, Alegria Pride 2009
We slid down the Alegria Rabbit Hole shortly after three a.m.-and when we landed on our feet, we had to stop. We had to STOP-right where we were and take it all in: the cacophonous adrenal rush of sliding into Alegria in Wonderland at warp speed. So much to discover, as Alice might have said: the caterpillar perched atop the humongous mushroom, oversized tea cups and saucers (with Alegria tea bags-Drink me!), a double-spout tea pot-and a huge pink Cheshire cat whose grin illuminated the recesses of M2 like a crescent moon over Manhattan. We’d slipped through the looking glass and landed in Wonderland.
SouthCoast Equality Pride: New Bedford, Mass :: June 27, 2009
Celebrating their 2nd Pride Festival, this time at Court House Square in Historic Downtown New Bedford, Mass, was SouthCoast Equality Pride. With support from Connecticut, Boston, The Cape and Rhode Island, the party lasted a full day and provided a full slate of entertainment for those who came. This year’s Dance on the Pier provided flawless music from three talented DJs, perfect weather and a hot crowd. Even slightly non-marquee live acts couldn’t dampen the thousands stamping their feet on top of the Hudson River.
