Folsom Street East :: June 21, 2009
Folsom Street East, New York’s s/m-leather-fetish themed street festival, took place this past Sunday over Leather Pride Weekend and drew nearly 10,000 visitors. This leather event included performances from feature Billboard Top Ten recording artist Sylvia Tosun, as well as Peppermint, Reina, Miss Guy, the Johns, The Imperial Court of New York, Noa Tylo, Trai La Trash and Fredrick Ford. RI Pride VIP Party :: June 19, 2009
The 33 Pride Festival Weekend opened with the 2nd Annual VIP Party for the Volunteers, Supporters and Donors who make the Pride Festival possible. A highlight of the evening was the first ever lighting of the RI Statehouse in the colors of the Rainbow! EDGE was there and got the photos of this historic night for you to enjoy.

40 years after Stonewall, there are still plenty of things to fight for. Just because we’re celebrating a milestone in fighting for our equality doesn’t mean it’s time to rest on our laurels. Many gay Americans still can’t get married, serve in the military, adopt children and enjoy freedom from employment discrimination. While throwing bricks, bottles and parking meters won’t work now like it did at Stonewall, you can do plenty of good with less violent means like these.

The Philadelphia gay pride parade ended right at Penn’s Landing, where the annual pride festival was in full swing. Thousands crammed onto the plaza, where entertainment, food, shopping and dancing were the order of the day. EDGE was on hand to snap pics - here they are!

This year’s Capital Pride offered more than a week of savoring. The city was gayer than ever, with upwards of 250,000 people attending Sunday’s festival on Pennsylvania Avenue.
