Boston Pride :: 2007 Pride Idol
Eleven contestants took the stage on Wednesday night at the Back Bay Events Center in Boston, singing for the crowd and the crown of "2007 Pride Idol" - but in the end, only Gregorio Malonte was left on stage to claim the prize. Celebrity judges Fast Freddy, Gayle Fee and Laura Raposa helped whittle the field and hostesses Kitty Litter and BB Hayes kept pace... here are the photos!

Bill Berggren resigns from Pride Committee
In response to an article published May 23 in The Weekly Dig highlighting his past criminal record, Boston Pride Committee fundraising chair Bill Berggren resigned from the committee that same day. His resignation came in the midst of an effort by Pride board president Linda DeMarco to convene an emergency board meeting to plan a response to the article.
"Pride not Prejudice’’ Theme of San Francisco’s June Festival
"Pride not Prejudice" is the theme of the 37th annual San Francisco Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) Pride Parade and Celebration taking place June 23-24, 2007. With more than 200 parade contingents, 300 exhibitors and 18 entertainment stages and venues, San Francisco’s LGBT Pride Celebration and Parade is the largest LGBT event in the U.S. Parade organizers estimate that as many as 1,000 volunteers turn out to staff the event and 500,000 spectators line the length of the parade route which starts at Market and Beale streets and travels west to Eighth Street.
