Boston Pride :: 2006 AIDS Walk
EDGE was on hand for the 21st annual AIDS Walk and the newly dedicated Larry Kessler run today. Thousands of families, friends, allies and supporters of those living with or having died from AIDS raised money by completing the 6.2 mile journey - and Mayor Thomas Menino formally announced today, June 4, 2006, as Larry Kessler Day in the city of Boston. The event raised more than $1 million for treatment and prevention of HIV/AIDS. Here are the photos!
Boston Pride :: 2006 Pride Flagraising
Today, the official Pride flag was raised above Government Center in Boston, signifying the beginning of the nine-day celebration of Pride 2006. Marshals The Network/La Red, Moving Violations, Chris Robinson and the ACLU of Massachusetts joined the festivities. Here are the pics!

Massachusetts Youth Pride :: 2006 Pride March & Festival
Neither rain nor opposition from the Massachusetts Governor’s office could stop throngs of revelers from celebrating Youth Pride 2006 in grand style - the parade stepped off from The Castle at the Park Plaza, and the celebrating continued in high spirits through the afternoon. The streets were packed from Trinity Church through the South End to the Boston Common for the 2005 Boston Pride Parade. 2005 Pridelights
Pink lights adorned the Boston Center for the Arts Plaza on Tremont Street as entertainers and GLBT community luminaries (including Mayor Menino) gathered for Pridelights. The yearly event benefits AIDS Action Committee, and culminates in the lighting of the largest tree in the square. Catch the photos online!
