It's been awhile since we've heard from Justin Bieber. Let me rephrase that: It's been awhile since we heard new music from Justin Bieber and not about the singer's legal issues.

Sure, the bad boy pop star has been featured on a few songs since his last album "Believe," which was released in 2012. Most notably, he leant his vocals to the excellent Skrillex and Diplo EDM jam "Where Are U Now." But as for solo Beebs, he's long due for some new material.

And it looks like new Bieber music is on its way. Over the past week, the "Beauty and the Beat" singer teased his upcoming single "What Do You Mean?" which will drop at the end of the month. But according to USA Today, Bieber, 21, will release his fourth album "sometime in September."

He made the announcement at the iHeartMedia Summit in California Thursday.

"My music is very awesome, actually," he said. "I've been working really hard on it. I've been taking my time."

Bieber also played his new single, which apparently sounds similar to the electronic "Where Are U Now."

USA Today notes the song's hook goes: "What do you mean? You don't want me to move, but you tell me to go / What do you mean? You nod your head yes, but you wanna say no."
