PopUps: Gaga and Fiancé Get Naked for Magazine Cover
Lady Gaga and her hunky fianc Taylor Kinney stripped down to nothing and took a selfie for the latest cover of V Magazine.
The pop star and actor can be seen embracing each other, sitting close together naked on the floor. The couple is also covered in paint and sitting on a crumpled sheet of canvas.
Although the pic looks like it was taken by Kinney, he's holding a camera in the apparent selfie, the Daily Mail reports the cover shot may have been taken by Steven Klien, who has photographed 16 covers for V Magazine. He's also the director behind Mother Monster's pious music video for "Alejandro."
The issue in which Gaga and her boo appear honors the life of the late fashion designer, Alexander McQueen. Gaga guest edited the issue, which also shows her posing with British artist Daphne Guinness in a series of risqu photos.
"This issue of V is about all of these people coming together to express a passion for art and fashion, to really 'go there' to make a great statement and to change things..." Gaga said, according to the Daily Mail. "I feel like we all share an appetite for living a life of passion and creativity...it's like we all found our immortality through art and fashion...we share that deep spiritual place."
According to Gaga's Twitter, she and Kinney had sex on the canvas "for peace." In the V issue, Gaga talks about making love on the canvas (via Vulture).
"Years ago, when we were secretly living in San Diego and crashing on the floor of a beach shack," she wrote. "We never wore shoes. He told me he wanted to make love to me on a canvas."
She went on to say: "We made love on the canvas on a Sunday in Chicago. We made love amidst chaos. We talked about shootings. We made love amidst terrorism. And we talked about how people's hearts are also suffering all over the world as they watch and witness a swell of violence. We made love amidst violence."
The "Applause" singer was also interviewed by James Franco inside the issue (currently only in print), and Gaga discussed her upcoming studio album, which is expected to drop later this year. She said how her role on "American Horror Story" impacted her upcoming work, saying it will be lighter than her previous efforts, specifically "ARTPOP."
"I have a little less of an instinct to be reckless with my music now because I'm reckless in other places," Gaga said. "So now I'm thinking more about what it is I want to say and what I want to leave on Earth. It's less an expression of all my pain."
