PopUps: Taylor Swift 'Likes' Bieber's 'Teardrops' Cover
Could this be the beginning of a new friendship?
The alleged feud between Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber has been known for years (although the animosity seems to be mostly on Tay Tay's side). But the two pop stars may be on their way to set things right between them.
Bieber took to Instagram Monday and posted a short black-and-white clip of him sitting in the passenger's seat of a car with a friend behind the wheel. The two dudes sway as Swift's 2006 hit single "Teardrops On My Guitar" blasts from the radio. In the video, Bieber looks super into country jam as he lip synchs the chorus.
Apparently Swift became a Bieber fan for a moment and reportedly "liked" the Instagram post Monday, according to Us Weekly.
The singers have reportedly been at odds for years, thanks to Bieber's on-again-off-again relationship with fellow pop star Selena Gomez, who happens to be one of the "22" hit-maker's BBFs. A source even told Us Weekly in 2013 that Swift "hates" Bieber.
"She thinks Selena makes a mistake every time she reconciles with him. Bieber has really come between the girls," a source told the magazine at the time.
"He complains Taylor's always telling Selena she can do better," an inside for the "What Do You Mean" singer added.
Swift has been somewhat open about her Bieber distain in the past. Back in 2013, she refused to answer a question about the Canadian pop star at the Billboard Music Awards press room.
"Can we have another question?" she said when asked about Bieber.
There's also the infamous .gif of Swift sticking out her tongue in disgust when Gomez and Bieber kiss.
