PopUps: Taylor Swift & Calvin Harris Call it Quits
The bad news: Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris have broken up.
The good news: This gives Swift a lot of material for her next record.
After 15 months of dating Swift and Harris (real name Adam Wiles) have reportedly ended their relationship, according to various media outlets.
The news may come to a surprise to even the biggest Tay Tay and Harris shippers, as the couple recently took to social media to post photos of each other celebrating their one year anniversary in March.
The reason for the spilt isn't fully known, but E! News reports the duo's "romance just seemed to fizzle out." E! adds "there wasn't any shady business that led to the breakup."
A source spoke E! about the breakup.
"Adam really liked Taylor, she was not the type of girl he ever dates and he liked that. He liked how innocent Taylor was and that she had a good caring heart. Taylor's heart was more in it then he was. He started to lose interest over the past few months, but really tried to not just break up," they said.
"They were just not very compatible in different areas in their relationship. The touring and traveling didn't help. It seemed like they were more friends than lovers," the source added. "Taylor and Adam had very different group of friends."
The source went on to say Harris "100 percent did not cheat."
"There were no other women involved with Adam. He did not cheat on her at all. Just not a good match." Another source also told E! News "no one cheated. There was no drama."
A source close to Swift added the "22" singer "was in Nashville with her family and they have been helping her through the break up."
"Taylor was really disappointed in Calvin and felt like he wasn't there for her," the source continued. "The relationship wasn't progressing the way she wanted it to. She felt like he wasn't taking it seriously enough and wouldn't come through for her when she needed him most. She felt down and like her needs weren't being met. She doesn't want to get back together."
Another insider told E! News the breakup actually happened last week, saying the musicians did not have a huge fight.
"...the romance just was not there anymore for them" they said. "Adam is the one that ended it. It was all done in a very mature fashion. Taylor is pretty upset but they are still in communication. Taylor was there for Adam with his accident and supportive."
Neither Swift nor Harris have commented on the split.
The news comes a few weeks after Harris released his new song "This is What You Came For" featuring Rihanna. The track was written by Nils Sj�berg, whom fans believe is an alias for Swift.
