Yaaasss Gaga: 'Joanne' Lands at No. 1 on Billboard

Monday October 31, 2016

"Joanne" is not "Flopanne."

Lady Gaga's fifth studio album reached the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart, making it the pop star's fourth number one album.

Billboard reports "Joanne," which dropped Oct. 21, performed better than expected. Insiders predicted the album would sell about 180,000 units in its first week. But "Joanne" moved 201,000 units, which means Gaga's new music is the fourth largest debut of 2016 and the second largest from a female artist.

Beating out Gaga? Drake's "Views," which sold 1.04 million units, Beyonce's "Lemonade," selling 653,000 units and Frank Ocean's "Blonde," which pushed 276,000 units.

Maybe Gaga herself had a hand with the impressive record sales!
