PopUps: Shawn Mendes Teases New Music in Mysterious Messages

Fans are clamoring around cryptic messages Shawn Mendes left on social media, with many believing the pop singer is readying new music.

Teaming up with Spotify, the 19-year-old "Stitches" singer put up a new billboard in New York City's Times Square that features a picture of him, his name and "coming soon."

He later shared a video that shows the dates March 22 and March 23. In addition, Mendes posted another cryptic photo two different colors. The singer has been teasing a new album for weeks now: Last month he shared a shirtless photo with the caption, "Album soon come."

Mendes released his debut album "Handwritten" in 2015 and his sophomore album "Illuminate" in 2016.
