The icon took to her medium of choice, Twitter, to reveal the news to her fans and her 3.61 million followers that new music is soon coming.
After tweeting up a storm about the latest mess about the Supreme Court, Cher decided to cheer fans up with an update on her upcoming 26th studio album. On June 30, the singer and actress revealed the LP is due out this fall - September to be exact.
Unsurprisingly, Cher's tweet got a lot of life - it earned over 12,000 likes and 1,600 retweets.
Cher's last album "Closer to the Truth" was released in 2013. More recently, Cher is set to star in the "Mamma Mia!" sequel and her cover of ABBA's "Fernando" were recently released. On top of that, Cher found herself in the headlines last month when she discussed the upcoming Broadway show based on her life.
