PopUps: Roseanne Barr Responds to Character's Fate on 'The Conners'

Roseanne Barr took to Twitter Tuesday to react to the fate of her character — Roseanne Conner — on the "The Conners," the new ABC spinoff show that features the entire cast of "Roseanne" except Barr.

In case you forgot (or chose to forget!), the popular "Roseanne" reboot was canceled earlier in May after Barr fired off a racist tweet against Valerie Jarett, a former aide to President Barack Obama. ABC then announced it would launch a spinoff show called "The Conners," which stars the entire "Roseanne" cast minus the titular star.

"The Conners" had its debut Tuesday night and the fate of Roseanne Conner was revealed: The first episode of the new comedy found the family weeks into grieving the death of Roseanne Conner, who died suddenly of a heart attack. It's later learned, however, that she passed away from opioid abuse — an issue the "Roseanne" reboot showcased.

Roseanne Barr took to Twitter to react to the episode and her character's fate.

"I AIN'T DEAD, BITCHES!!!!," she tweeted.
