"Is it too late now to say sorry?" Justin Bieber sang on his hit single "Sorry."

Now the pop star is finding himself actually apologizing after many took issue with his April Fool's joke involving his wife Hailey Baldwin.

Bieber took to Instagram Tuesday and shared a Fox News article about himself with the headline "Justin Bieber slammed on social media for fake pregnancy news." He captioned the post:

There's always gonna be people offended, there's also people who don't take jokes very well, I am a prankster and it was APRIL FOOLS. I didn't at all mean to be insensitive to people who can't have children. A lot of people I know, their first go to prank on April fools is telling their parents they are pregnant to get a big reaction. But I will apologize anyway and take responsibility and say sorry to people who were offended.

Bieber's apology comes after his April 1 gag. He posted a sonogram photo without a caption to his Instagram account, with fans believing he and Baldwin were expecting a baby. He followed up the photo with snaps of his wife apparently in a doctor's office with her hands around her stomach.

"If U thought it was April fools," the singer captioned the post.

He followed that up with an ultrasound photo with a puppy photoshopped into it.

"Wait omg is that a,,, APRIL FOOLS," he wrote.

CNN notes some people were upset with the prank as joking about pregnancy is not funny to those struggling with fertility issues.

"I truly don't want anyone to be hurt by a prank.. it's like when I shoved cake in my little sisters face for her birthday expecting her to laugh but she cried," Bieber wrote in his apology post. "You sometimes just don't know what will hurt someone's feelings not to compare pregnancy with cake in the face but it's just to paint the picture of not knowing what will offend."

Bieber recently announced he's stepping back from music to focus on his mental health.
