PopUps: Lindsay Lohan Teases New Music, Says 'I'm Back'
Is Lindsay Lohan finally returning to her pop music roots?
The actress/singer took to social media Tuesday to tease that she's releasing new music by sharing a short video.
The clip features a dark room filled with a number of TV sets that show images of Lohan throughout her career, including moments from her recent MTV reality show "Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club," iconic paparazzi shots and scenes from her "Rumors" music video. In the background, a new song that is distorted can be heard playing. The vid ends with the "Mean Girls" star proclaiming, "I'm back!"
Lohan, 33, also shared a link to pre-save her new single on streaming services. The title for the track has yet to be announced. She also deleted all posts from her Instagram with only the teaser clip remaining live.
The upcoming single will mark the star's first new song in 12 years. Last year, however, she teased a song called "Xanax" by posting snippets on social media. That song, however, never materialized and isn't available on digital platforms.
Lohan's last song was her hit "Bossy" from 2008. It's unclear if her new song is a one-off single like that track or the start of a new album.
