Openly gay rapper Lil Nas X has announced that he's written a children's book titled "C is for Country," reports Entertainment Weekly.

The upcoming book - like Lil Nas X's crossover hit "Old Town Road" - has a country flavor, EW reports, centering around "a pony named Panini" as he takes what the book's synopsis calls a "joyous journey through the alphabet from sunup to sundown."

The newly-minted author took to Twitter announce the book's Jan. 5, 2021 release from publisher Random House Kids.

Reports The Tennessean, "The illustrated book, geared toward children ages 3 to 7, features 'plenty of hidden surprises' for Lil Nas X fans and 'is a celebration of song and the power inside us all,' according to Random House Kids."

The announcement comes not long after he teased new music is coming soon. Click here to read more about that.
