Charlize Theron is serious about doing a lesbian version of "Die Hard," Entertainment Weekly reports.

Theron explained to Vanity Fair that "it's a great idea. That's why I replied on Twitter. Because I just thought it was kind of brilliant. I was like, 'This person needs to start pitching. That's a great idea.' And the fact that it would be two women, I was like, 'Yeah, sign me on.'"

The Tweet Theron refers to was posted in December by Dr. Francis Osis, who said "Lesbian Christmas rom coms are all well and good but what I REALLY want is a Die Hard where Charlize Theron goes on a rampage to save her wife." Theron responded with a simple, "Where do I sign."

Elsewhere in Vanity Fair's feature, the "North Country" actress, who has long been an ally of the LGBTQ community, also discusses her love for "RuPaul's Drag Race." Theron explains that after watching "The Great British Baking Show" with her kids, the family then binges "Drag Race."

Theron said, "I will always think of ['RuPaul's Drag Race'] as our family corona show that I had to prewatch every episode and figure out which ones were appropriate and which ones weren't. But, that was a fun family thing for us too, that just puts a smile on my face."
