HBO is addressing rumors that were circulating online that its hit drama "Euphoria" would not return for a third season despite being renewed, the Independent reports.

Reports began being shared online Friday that the Sam Levinson series starring Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, and more was being nixed. But HBO set the record straight in a statement to the outlet:

"'Euphoria' is going in to production in 2025. Nothing has changed," the network simply said.

Over the summer, HBO announced the risqué and controversial teen drama would return for a third season and come with a big twist: a time jump.

"There's been a lot of back and forth," HBO boss Casey Bloys told Entertainment Weekly about the time jump. "When you take it out of [high school], there's a lot of back and forth about where to set it, and how far in the future to set it, and all that stuff."

He added, "But I think he's got a take that he's excited about, and he's busy writing."

Nevertheless, the rumors come not long after it was reported that the show was allegedly on rocky grounds. Click here to read more about that.

"Euphoria" first debuted on HBO back in 2019 with its second season hitting the network in 2022.
