Pedigree wise, it doesn't get much better than MEN, the new club and crunk factory comprised of Johanna Fateman and J.D.Samson, aka two thirds of Le Tigre. Moving from post-punk rabble rousing to post-geek booty shaking, the pair of DJ/producers spin their own music and some killer remixes and mashups in their set. They love a musical challenge, so leave them your requests on their Myspace space (www.myspace.com/mrandmrsmen.)

MEN will rock your Monday at Great Scott with another new-ish electropop act, Hey Willpower. These guys also have a mighty music lineage: frontman Will Schwartz is from the irresistibly catchy and oh-so-gay alt-pop band Imperial Teen, and his collaborator Tomo Yasuda is a vet of several electro bands, including San Francisco's Tussle.

"Not even the most seasoned Boston hipster will be able to cross their arms and nod their head slightly," promises Truth Serum's Aliza Shapiro, who predicts this energetic double bill will cause the dance floor to reach critical mass. And if the infectious music doesn't get you, the stage show surely will. Hey Willpower comes complete with costumed backup dancers who've got a routine for each song.

Truth Serum and Chubrub Productions present MEN and Hey Willpower at 9 p.m. at Great Scott, 1222 Commonwealth Ave., Allston. $12, 18+.
