The premiere issue features profiles of American artist John Baldwssari, Swedish artist Jenny Mortsell, Magnum photographer Michael James O'Brien, Mexican actress Ana de la Reguera, Warp Records manager Priya Dewan and many more. The issue also features the work of renowned photographers Txema Yeste, NICO, Hugh Lippe, Bjorn Iooss, Seiji Fujimori and Bjarne Jonasson.
"Virgine profiles fashion stalwarts like Azzedine Alaia alongside burgeoning talent like Rad Hourani in a goal to create a bridge between new talents and accomplished artists" said Virgine editor-in-chief and publisher Ryan Yoon.
"Our reader is a globally-minded person who is every bit as interested in what's happening in Seoul as he is in Paris and he both reveres the old guard and embraces the avant. We hope to expose readers to exciting developments in art and fashion scenes all over the world, while also giving the young designers and artists we showcase a platform."
