Celebrate Mexican Independence with Margarita

Tuesday August 23, 2011

Even though summer is coming to an end, there's still cause for celebration - Mexican Independence Day is September 16th! This year, why not celebrate one of Mexico's most important holidays with a modern take on the classic Margarita.

The Don Julio Pomegranate Margarita combines Don Julio Blanco - a crisp, citrusy tequila that highlights the flavors of agave - with a refreshing splash of pomegranate juice for a festive take on an a traditional favorite.

If you want to elevate your tequila experience, toast to Mexican Independence Day just like Don Julio Master Distiller Enrique de Colsa by treating yourself and guests to Don Julio 1942.

Best enjoyed neat or on the rocks, 1942's rich caramel and honey notes make it the perfect drink to toast to the holiday.
