Restaurants Across Rhode Island Help Fight AIDS

PROVIDENCE, RI - Restaurants across the state will be participating in the annual "Dining Out for Life" benefitting AIDS Project RI on Thursday, April 26.

"We're asking our friends to support these restaurants on Thursday, April 26, and throughout the year," said Thomas Bertrand, executive director of AIDS Project RI, a division of non-profit Family Service of RI.

The concept is simple: diners eat at participating restaurants on Thursday, April 26. Participating restaurants donate a portion of sales to AIDS Project RI. "Friends, families, co-workers use it as an opportunity to get together for a night out," he said.

The participating restaurant list includes:

--The Burrito Company, 104 Cass Avenue, Woonsocket;

--Cactus Grille , 800 Allens Avenue, Providence;

--CAV , 14 Imperial Place, Providence;

--Cowesett Inn , 226 Cowesett Avenue, West Warwick;

--Cuban Revolution (Downcity) , 50 Aborn St., Providence;

--Cuban Revolution (Valley Street) , 60 Valley St., Providence;

--DiParma Italian Table , 940 Fall River Ave., Seekonk;

--Garden Grille, 727 East Avenue, Pawtucket;

--Gracie's , 194 Washington Street, Providence;

--Hose Company #6 , 636 Central Avenue, Pawtucket;

--Hemenway's , 121 South Main Street, Providence;

--Matunuck Oyster Bar , 629 Succotash Road, South Kingstown;

--New Rivers , 7 Steeple Street, Providence;

AIDS Project RI, a division of Family Service of RI, provides a range of services for persons living with HIV/AIDS across the state, including rapid HIV testing, emergency financial assistance, nutritional support and much more.
