The closet couldn't keep a chokehold on out pro wrestler Mike Parrow - and now the hulking athlete has tied the knot with Morgan Cole, his longtime life partner, in a public solemnizing of their unbreakable bond.

Parrow came out three years ago, after spending years in the closet. The process was a long one; media reports said at the time that Parrow had determined he would come out four years earlier, which was roughly the same time he first met Cole.

It was a difficult road, news stories said - one that included attempted "conversion therapy," a quack practice that claims to "cure" LGBTQ people and "turn" them straight. The pseudo-scientific sham has been blasted by reputable mental health experts as both ineffectual and potentially harmful to vulnerable people struggling against deeply ingrained homophobia in society and religious faiths.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Parrow had considered suicide, media sources noted, as do many LGBTQ people.

But Parrow's life blossomed as he chose to live authentically and found love.

The March 14 wedding was captured in photos that Parrow shared on Twitter.

"Me and Husband @joveyjove want to Thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts!" posted Parrow.

Parrow's tweet continued with a reference to the current spate of canceled and postponed athletic events the coronavirus pandemic has prompted, but also with a word of gratitude to those who refused to let "social distancing" keep them away from the blessed event.

"Thank you to our friends that were able to join us especially during the current circumstances and all the others who sent well wishes, it meant the world to us," Parrow posted. "The Wedding was perfect! It does get better!"
