Aqua Expeditions Launches Online Cooking Classes
Luxury small-ship tour operator Aqua Expeditions will launch its first-ever online culinary masterclass designed to bring gastronomic magic from across Aqua's destinations to Americans isolated at home.
On Wednesday, April 1 at 1 p.m. ET, viewers can join award-winning Peruvian Chef Pedro Miguel Schiaffino for an online cooking session. In addition to his cutting-edge restaurants, Malabar and �maZ, in Lima, Schiaffino is the consulting chef on Aqua Expeditions' Aria Amazon and the new Aqua Nera, launching in October 2020.
"First and foremost, the health and safety of yourself and loved ones is paramount; but I want to invite people to continue dreaming and to not let this current situation stop their love for adventure and exploration," said Francesco Galli Zugaro, founder and CEO of Aqua Expeditions.
Guests can click on Aqua Expeditions' Facebook and Instagram channels to join Schiaffino in creating Peruvian classics. Known for using Amazonian ingredients in his modern Peruvian cuisine, Schiaffino will teach viewers how to prepare his signature ceviche dish, along with a traditional Pisco sour cocktail.
Aboard Aqua Expeditions' Amazon vessels, Schiaffino sources 70 percent of all ingredients locally, focusing on the freshest meats, fish, vegetables, and herbs, which he pairs with fine Latin American wines.
Aqua Expeditions will soon release the dates of further cooking masterclasses by Chef Benjamin Cross, consulting chef of the Aqua Blu, and Chef David Thompson, consulting chef of the Aqua Mekong.
