The Best Destinations for Incredible Nightlife
The summer is rapidly approaching and soon the nightlife around the world will be in full swing. From the U.S. to Europe, some of the best party destinations are gearing up for what will be a phenomenal summer season. Everyone knows their local clubs and bars, so if you're planning a vacation, here's a look at some of the best nightlife destinations from around the world.
Berlin
As far as anyone is concerned, the center of European nightlife is Berlin. This is a city that offers anything you could want. Known for their nonstop party clubs, most of these venues don't get into a full swing until 4 am, and will stay open all weekend long without closing.
Since the 1990s, Berlin has been notorious for its legendary music and dance club scene. It has launched the careers of numerous famous DJs, like Paul van Dyk, Ricardo Villalobos, and many more.
One of the biggest factors that sets Berlin apart from other worldwide destinations is the niche and non-mainstream independently owned clubs and venues. Many other clubs are owned by big businesses and entertainment companies, while Berlin clubs are often owned by individuals with a passion for underground art and music. The result is a landscape of venues that all feel very unique and oftentimes unusual. Partying in Berlin is something you will never forget!
Ibiza
For such a small island, Ibiza has garnered a massive reputation as one of the biggest party spots in the world. During the day, you can relax on one of the many beaches, or attend the numerous daytime events, but at night is when the real parties start. Ibiza is home to many superclubs considered to be some of the best clubs in the world. Venues are constantly trying to outdo each other with the most over-the-top events, meaning some legendary nights for club-goers. It's typical for every night to have a different theme like costume parties or glow raves.
Boat parties are another exciting type of event that have taken off in recent years. No vacation to Ibiza is complete without one luxurious boat party to remember. Promoters are even offering full-fledged party cruises for those that can't get enough. Ibiza is known worldwide as one of the premier nightlife destinations, meaning you might even run into a famous celebrity or two during your stay. Overall, for the sheer multitude of clubs and events, and the world-class talent that is in constant rotation here, Ibiza is an absolute must for international partiers.
The Bahamas
The Bahamas is well known as a gorgeous destination to kick back and relax on tropical beaches, but there is plenty more to do besides just bask in the sun. For those that enjoy high energy nightlife, the Bahamas has plenty of popular bars and nightclubs to add more excitement to your vacation. You can spend your days working on your tan and your evenings dancing the night away. The Bahamas has been building its reputation as an incredible destination for live entertainment with world-class DJs flocking to the islands every year.
While other destinations may be trending towards a generic feel, the Bahamas stays true to its incredible culture and all the events and nightclubs come with an essence of the Caribbean flair that is famous here. The music, the drinks, the decor and celebrations, everything feels very true to the Bahamas' roots and makes this destination truly one of a kind.
New York
For anyone that may not have known, New York invented nightlife. The all-night, 24-7 destination that is New York City cannot be understated. While some may argue that Los Angeles is better, or Las Vegas has the best clubs, in the end, nowhere in the US can take the throne away from New York. While certainly on the expensive side for accommodations, drinks, and club entry, it cannot be denied that the best clubs in the world are all here. Every major music artist and DJ makes multiple stops in NYC throughout the year and can be found in smaller intimate after parties if you have the right connections.
From the cocktail bars, to lounges, nightclubs, and all-night restaurants, this city has it all in a convenient location that is never too far out of the way. Of course, NYC is famous for launching new clubs and venues just to have them shut down only months later, but several
famous venues have been constant. Places like Cielo have been putting on legendary events for over a decade. Marquee is another club with a lot of history. After closing in 2012, most thought it was the end of an era for the well-known club. With over three million dollars invested into renovations, the club opened back up in 2013 and has continued to be an NYC hotspot since. With so many clubs and venues to choose from, you certainly will never get bored in this city, though you might get tired of waiting in the lines after a while!
