Former "The Bachelor" contestant and "The Bachelorette" star Gabby Windey has come out to reveal that she has finally found a happy relationship with a woman.
As reportedby The Wrap, Winder was making appearance on "The View" Wednesday when she let the news slip and detailed that she "always just want to live my truth, and my story."
Windey explained that she had been seeing someone "for a couple months" and wanting to keep things "a little more private."
She added, "because it is a bigger story and a bigger conversation, because I'm dating a girl!"
Windey was introduced on season 26 of "The Bachelor" as one of the contestants vying for Clayton Echard's heart. "She ended up being the co-runner-up alongside Rachel Recchia, and went on to headline Season 19 of 'The Bachelorette' with Recchia," The Wrap reports.
At the end of her season on "The Bachelorette," Windey got engaged to contestant Erich Schwer. However the pair split November 2022.
"View" host Sunny Hostin said Windey's newest relationship was certainly "a twist," prompting Windey to admit that it was just as much a twist for her as well.
"I think it was always a whisper in me that just got louder and louder, and I didn't really know to pay attention to it," Windey said. "I think, you know, when this happens, there's some shame, obviously, surrounding it."
