The Hispanic Black Gay Coalition plays Santa for family in need

The Hispanic Black Gay Coalition (HBGC) for the third consecutive year is adopting a family in need for the holidays. HBGC is looking for volunteers to help give an unemployed single mother of color, who has recently been diagnosed as bipolar, and her 5-year-old daughter a very special Christmas.

Anyone is welcome to donate any item that may be of use to this family, but a list has been provided by the mother and can be accessed here: www.hbgc-boston.org/node/405. Please feel free to also include holiday cards with words of encouragement. Contact HBGC to arrange to have the donated items picked up, or bring them to the remaining HBGC events scheduled this year. Additional drop-off locations include the MAC office (31 Heath St., 4th floor in Jamaica Plain) and the Boston GLASS office (93 Massachusetts Ave., 3rd floor in Boston).

All of the donated items will be presented to the adopted family by HBGC's leadership team on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24. Visit www.hbgc-boston.org for more information.
