Do You Want 'Wood' with that Cappuccino? Magazine Mistakenly Publishes X-Rated Cappuccino Foam Art
A local newspaper in Pennsylvania is in need of a good copy editor after inadvertently publishing an X-rated pic in an ad.
A local pizza store issued an apology after a magazine advertisement unintentionally included an image of a naked man in the cappuccino foam art, reported the Philly Voice.
"Chiaro's Pizza & Restaurant, a Bucks County business for 35 years, recently paid for the ad to be designed and published in the February issue of a local magazine mailed out monthly to residents in Upper Perkiomen Valley," the Philly Voice said.
"The restaurant, a longtime advertiser in the magazine, bought a full-page ad and sent the publication photos it wanted to appear in its promotion. Chiaro's management and the staff at Community Connection Monthly, the publication that printed the advertisement, failed to recognize that the design in the cappuccino foam in one image depicted a man without any clothing," according to the Voice.
It didn't slip by readers, though. Somebody inevitably caught the mistake and made the magazine and the pizzeria aware.
"We mailed the magazine out and when it hit homes on February 1, someone flipping through the magazine caught the image and immediately alerted Chiaro's and myself," Donna Olsen, Community Connection's president, told the Voice.
While it is said there's no such thing as bad publicity, Chiaro's still posted an apologetic statement on Facebook for the incident, which they said was a "devastating situation for all of us involved..."
"We just wanted to make sure people understand our position," the restaurant responded to one comment. "This thing has over 200k on somebody's (TikTok) already and we're so embarrassed over the whole thing."
Sharp eyes over at Str8UpGayPorn.com were able to identify the figure in the foam. "Apparently neither the pizza place nor the local media outlet that published this story is aware of the fact that the naked man in the cappuccino is the infamous internet meme 'Wood sitting on a bed,' which is an image of a Pantheon Bear model named 'Wood.'"
A Twitter user tweeted a photo of the magazine ad with the mistake in it. If you want a laugh, follow this link to see it. Be warned, though: This is one steamy cappuccino (subtext: you will definitely see a naked man in the cappuccino foam art in the photo).
