Man Dresses as Julius Caesar to Protest LGBTQ+ Teacher's Attire
A New Hampshire man showed up a school board meeting in Concord, New Hampshire dressed as "Julius Caesar" to protest the the attire of a LGBTQ+ teacher allowed by the school, reports the Daily Mail."Michael Guglielmo, called for suspension of the superintendent and principal for allowing an art teacher who identifies with the LGBTQ+ community to teach," the tabloid reports.
The teacher, Silas Allard, teaches at the school and often wears women's clothes. Guglielmo also claims Allard had been posting inappropriate material on social media. These were, according to the Boston Globe, tweets made when Allard was a teenager in 2016 and 2017. The posts reportedly contained sexually suggestive material and references to marijuana.
"In full Roman garb, the father announced: 'I am Caesar. Julius Caesar of Rome, the emperor. I am also a female,' Guglielmo announced in video footage of the meeting."
"Does anybody here believe that? That I am Julius Caesar? Anybody believe that? No, of course not. It's ridiculous. I'm not a woman. Engaging and facilitating gender confusion, gender dysphoria is developmentally injurious to the mental and emotional capacity of children...," Guglielmo stated.
According to Guglielmo, the school district had been promoting a social agenda instead of focusing on teaching truth and facts.
Fox News reports "that Guglielmo was banned from visiting Christa McCauliffe Elementary School last month due to an interaction between himself and Allard. According to the letter CSD sent to Guglielmo, Guglielmo had asked Allard to take a photograph, to which Allard agreed. Guglielmo proceeded to ask Allard to pose for the photo, in which Allard denied. CSD deemed Guglielmo's actions as harassment. Guglielmo's criticisms prompted CSD to place Allard on leave and launch an investigation into the issue. However, CSD decided to bring Allard back to the classroom."
