Are the Conways Washington's Most Dysfunctional Family?
The Conways — Kellyanne, husband George and daughter Claudia — are shaping up to be Washington, D.C.'s most dysfunctional family. Kellyanne and George are already publicly at odds: She works for President Donald Trump while he runs the political action group The Lincoln Project out to get him out of the White House. But this past week their 15-year-old daughter has entered the fray, and the family drama is right out of some TLC reality show.
"Claudia Conway, 15, became a viral star this week for her outspoken anti-Trump views and support for the Black Lives Matter movement despite her mom working in the White House," reports the Daily Mail.
Yet but since a very public post that was said to be condoned by Kelly Anne, Claudia claims her parents are trying to keep her off social media by shutting off her phone.
On Friday, George Conway took to Twitter to the media that his daughter was off-limits to their inquiries.
"To journalists: @kellyannepolls and I do *not* consent to any communications between you and any of our minor children, including our daughter Claudia. So desist. Thank you," he wrote.
"But an unhappy Claudia snapped back saying he was trying to stop her being heard," writes the Daily Mail.
"'You're just mad that I'm finally getting my voice heard. sorry your marriage failed," she said.
About the same time, Claudia streamed a confrontation via TikTok with Kellyanne about her daughter's postings slamming Trump.
"You can get back to it, turn it off," Kellyanne said. "Turn it off now lady."
"No I'm not ok thanks guys though," Claudia told to her TikTok viewers.
Then told her mother: "I'm just showing everyone the truth, you're literally not letting me use my freedom of speech."
When Kellyanne looks at the phone her daughter is holding, she waves and comments, "'That many people have nothing to do? That's amazing, it's so nice out."
"Kellyanne eventually tried to physically take the phone from her daughter when she wouldn't stop posting," adds the Daily Mail.
When the screen suddenly goes dark as Kellyanne wrestled the phone from her daughter, Claudia is heard saying, "Mom, what are you doing?"
"It's mine," responds Kellyanne.
"The confrontation came after Claudia began posting anti-Trump TikTok videos calling for people to leave one-star reviews on his 'restaurants, hotels, and golf courses' and saying 'our president for the next four years is either going to be a r@pi$t or a r@pi$t'." reports the Daily Mail. She shared multiple videos on the platform with the user name @shortfakeblonde where she has spoken out against Trump and pledged her support to the Black Lives Matter movement."
