Bombshell Revelation of Congressional Sex Video from 2022 Surfaces
The recently revealed video seemingly showing a Senate aide having sex with another man in a government building's conference room turns out to be the second such video to circulate in just two years.
News of a sex video evidently taken inside the Hart Senate Office Building broke just last week, but now it seems that was not a completely unique event. Semafor reported that video footage that circulated online last year showed sexual acts that purportedly took place inside a building used for official business by the U.S. House of Representatives, and the footage led to an investigation focused on a Republican congressman's staffer.
The videos "circulated on Snapchat last year," Semafor detailed. "They featured in the Snapchat story of a user going by 'Adam J' with the handle 'Anjackson2019,' according to the recordings viewed by Semafor, which were provided by a source."
The graphic images "featured a man masturbating inside a House office building, which was identifiable by standard Capitol House furniture and carpeting," the article said. "The desk at which the videographer performed also held a branded congressional mouse pad."
"A screenshot of a second video obtained by Semafor shows two men engaged in a sex act in an office setting," the report added. "The participants' faces are not visible in any of the material viewed by Semafor."
The National Desk reported that, according to a "spokesperson for Rep. Dan Newhouse, R-Wash." who communicated with that publication, "a staffer in their office had been investigated for 'purported, inappropriate behavior' in June 2022, though 'no conclusive evidence' was found."
That spokesperson also told The National Desk that "As soon as the office was alerted, we immediately contacted the appropriate House entities to conduct an independent investigation," and said that the "staffer left Rep. Newhouse's office shortly after the investigation..."
Rep. Newhouse's former staffer, who has not been identified in reports, has said he was not part of the events depicted in the videos.
As previously reported, the more recent video, which purports to show graphic sexual activity in a hearing room used by members of the U.S. Senate, allegedly showed a 24-year-old staffer named Aidan Maese-Czeropski, as did a photo of a young man in thong-style underwear posed on all fours on a conference table.
According to Medium, the encounter took place Dec. 13 in a room that Maese-Czeropski had "reserved in the name of his boss, a Democrat senator."
Maese-Czeropski, Medium recounted, "met up with Georg Gauger, a German man who attended the nearby Elliott School of International Affairs. Aidan was photographed on the table and then they filmed themselves having sex."
Medium went on to add that "There might be some politics at work. The same day as the photo shoot, Aidan was recalled to have shouted 'Free Palestine!' at a Jewish congressman. For a Senate staffer it was a startling breach of norms."
The outlet also detailed that "The tape was posted to an online group for gay men, and to semi-anonymous social media accounts."
It wasn't long before right-wing outlets were amplifying the video — though it took considerably more time for word of last year's explicit footage, and the Republican congressman's response, to come to light.
As reported at the time, Maese-Czeropski's boss, Senator Ben Cardin, told the media that he was "angry, disappointed" at the "breach of trust."
"It's a tragic situation and it's presented a lot of anger and frustration," Cardin went on to say, adding: "I'm concerned about our staff and the way that they feel about this and the Senate staff."
In the wake of the video, "Cardin's office released a statement saying that" Maese-Czeropski "was 'no longer employed by the US Senate,'" an account by UK newspaper The Guardian detailed.
At his LinkedIn account, Maese-Czeropski declared in a since-deleted post that he had "been attacked for who I love to pursue a political agenda."
The ex-staffer went on to add, "I love my job and would never disrespect my workplace. Any attempts to characterize my actions otherwise are fabricated and I will be exploring what legal options are available to me in these matters."
"The United States Capitol Police have since launched a probe into potential criminal violations after the video began circulating," the New York Post reported.
