Moroccan Pop Star to Make Calif. Debut at LA Pride
Moroccan pop star Yones will make his California debut June 8 on the stages of LA PRIDE. He will perform his current international pop/dance hit "On The Rise" and debut his next single, the Casablanca-meets-Cali (the video was shot in LA), "OK OK OK."
LA PRIDE revelers have quite a show in store for them, as Yones' dynamic stage performance - a sexy explosion of samba, break dancing, Moroccan rhythms and Brazilian carnival costumes - was choreographed by none other than Michael Jackson's long-time choreographer, Mic Thompson.
"On The Rise" is a radio hit across the globe where it has reached the Top 3 at Top 40 and Latin/Urban stations in cities from San Juan, PR to Las Vegas and San Diego. The song also hit #1 on the Music Choice Urban Latin channel. Hear the remixes the brilliantly named Hoxton Whores and others here.
Yones' songs and music are multi-cultural in sound, a mix of Moroccan, Latino, Hiphop, and EDM (Electronic Dance Music). A native of Casablanca now living in Orlando, FL, his single "I Love You Morocco" was a #1 hit in his homeland before it was adopted by the NBA's Orlando Magic for the 2012 season, retitled as "I Love You Orlando."
Yones is on the LA Pride lineup.
Yones' music is released on his own One Nation Records and distributed by Tommy Boy Entertainment.
