Indy Pride Announces Full Week of Events

Circle City IN Pride (CCINP) has always taken the opportunity to bring people from all walks of life together in a safe and healthy family-friendly space. This year is no exception! The Circle City IN Pride Week continues its focus on INclusivity and Hoosier Hospitality with its full week of events, just one month away, June 5-13 - several of which are new events!

Friday, June 5: First Fridays is a Drag! w/ Lady Bunny

Kicking off the CCINP Week is a new event for CCINP, featuring the legendary founder of Wigstock, Lady Bunny, at Talbott Street. Purchase $10 presale here. Admission is $15 at the door. $25 VIP tickets include a Meet & Greet with Lady Bunny and prime seating.

Saturday, June 6: Rainbow 5K Run/Walk for Pride

The Rainbow 5K Run/Walk returns for a fourth year for Pride week at Talbott Street, Sunday, June 6, 7 a.m. All proceeds from the Rainbow 5K Run/Walk for Pride will support the Indy Pride Resource Center Fund and provide HIV education through the Indiana AIDS Fund, a program of the Health Foundation of Greater Indianapolis.

Saturday, June 6: Pride Bowl

Indy Pride teams up for a second year with the Greater Indianapolis Fourth of July Classic (TGIF), an international LGBT bowling tournament that provides fellowship through amateur competition, to host the 2015 edition of Pride Bowl, Saturday, June 6, 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. Pride Bowl will be held at All-Star Bowl, 726 N. Shortridge Rd, and is an all-ages family event. $15 for adults, $10 children under 12. Admission includes 3 games of bowling & shoe rental!

Sunday, June 7: Community Picnic & Bat n' Rouge

Indy Pride Bag Ladies returns for a seventh year to defend their title - World Series Trainwreck Champions - against the Circle City Pride Softball league. This popular charity event is hilarity not to be missed! Bat n' Rouge starts at 2 p.m. and will be emceed by Zakk from 93.9 The Beat! But before the game, bring the entire family out to the Garfield Park Corporate Shelter (2524 Conservatory Road) for the Community Picnic at 12 p.m. Both events are free and all-ages.

Sunday, June 7: Pride Skate

Be sure to dress in your favorite Disney Drag, because "Disney Magic" is the theme for this year's Pride Skate! Show us your perfect Cinderella, Prince Charming, Olaf, or Elsa as you skate with friends and family of all ages, with 93.9 The Beat's DJ Ms EKlass! Returning to Roller Cave Family Fun Center on the East side of Indianapolis, Pride Skate is all ages event, 6 - 9 p.m. Click here for more details.

Monday, June 8: Pet Pride

Pet Pride understands and focuses on the love we all share for our pets - how integral they are in the definition of "family." Once again, Pet Pride 2015 at Riverside Park, 2420 Riverside Drive, promises to be a barking good time! This year, the always wonderful Jay Michaels from 93.9 The Beat will be our host!

Tuesday, June 9: Tenth Anniversary Pride Concert

Join the Pride of Indy Bands as their Concert Band and Jazz Band perform at the Tenth Anniversary Pride Concert, Tuesday, June 9, 7 p.m., Athaneum Theater, 407 E. Michigan Street. $5 at the door.

Tuesday, June 9: Movie Night

Join us on the lawn of the Indianapolis Fire Fighters Museum (748 Massachusetts Ave) as we watch Finding Nemo under the stars! Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy this classic in a fantastic outdoor location. Some of Indy's amazing food trucks will be on hand as well, so don't forget your appetite! Wednesday, June 10: History Night - Being Transgender in Indiana

On Wednesday June 10 at 7 P.M., Indy Pride presents "Living History: Living Proof. Living Truth. (Being Transgender in Indiana)" for the first-ever Circle City IN Pride History Night. Held at Indy Reads Books, the night will focus on the transgender community and will feature conversations and readings from Michael Woodward, prominent lecturer and author; Marissa Miller, the Program Director for Brother's United; and Executive Director of the Indiana Transgender Wellness Alliance, Jacqueline Patterson.

Thursday, June 11: Girl Pride

Dubbed "the most ambitious Girl Pride ever" for good reason, Girl Pride has been moved to The Vogue Theatre in Broad Ripple, to accommodate the need for a larger stage, which will be graced by rock stars, DJs, a burlesque troupe, and acrobatics. Chely Wright, Ivy Levan, The Vallures, and local staple Crackhead Patty are complemented by local DJ extraordinaires, Gabby Love, DJ Fate, AriAtari, and Chachi Guerrero. A visual element will be brought to the crowd through the acrobatics of CirqueIndy and the sensual fun of Angel Burlesque.

Thursday, June 11: Indy Bag Ladies - Loud & Proud

The Bag Ladies have long been considered possibly the nation's first HIV/AIDS fundraising organization. They are certainly a favored and welcomed CCINP staple by many. Loud & Proud will take place at Gregs Indy "Our Place", at 231 E. 16th St., beginning at 9 p.m. (doors at 8 p.m.). Friday, June 12: Indiana Fever Diversity Night

The Indiana Fever hosts the Phoenix Mercury for this year's Diversity Night, Friday, June 12, 2015, at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, 125 S Pennsylvania Street. The Pride of Indy Bands will perform for 45 minutes before tip-off. And stay for a courtside post-game panel discussion, led by Indy Pride. Friday, June 12: Bianca del Rio's 'Rolodex of Hate' Comedy Special

Winner of the 6th season of RuPaul's Drag Race, Bianca del Rio brings her sharp tongue, biting wit, charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent to the stage in this one-woman show. This show is not for the faint of heart or the easily offended. Bianca del Rio's 'Rolodex of Hate' Comedy Special, Friday, June 12, Egyptian Room at Old National Centre. $35 and $50 pre-sale Tickets can be found at Livenation, along with $75 VIP.

Saturday, June 13: Cadillac Barbie IN Pride Parade, presented by The Alexander Hotel and Salesforce.com

The Cadillac Barbie IN Pride Parade is one of the largest parades in the city, having grown to include over 30 floats, 150 units, 200 vehicles, 2,500 walkers, and over 35,000 spectators in 2014.

The parade will line up at 8:30 A.M., Saturday, June 13, 2015, at the corner of Mass Ave and College Ave, and will step off at 10:00 A.M. The parade will De-marshal at St. Clair in front of the Indianapolis Public Library. New this year, the parade route has extended down a block to Vermont Street! This is a free, all ages event, followed immediately by the CCINP Festival, located at the end of the parade.

Saturday, June 13: Circle City IN Pride Festival, presented by Pinnacle Vodka

The festival is Indiana's largest LGBT celebration, stretching further than three city blocks, with 4 stages of entertainment and hundreds of unique product and food vendors. Last year, it was attended by more than 95,000 gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered and heterosexual people, reflecting the diversity that the festival champions. This year's festival is headlined by Neon Hitch, Chely Wright, Jeffery Straker, Jimmy James, and "RuPaul's Drag Race" finalist, Courtney Act! The IndyMojo 3rd Stage will feature the best in local DJs and 93.9 The Beat is presenting the 4th stage, now in its second year.

History will be made this year; for the first time, festival participants will be able to get married onstage or in a more private ceremony at the Niki Quasney Equality Chapel.

Circle City IN Pride Week begins on Friday, June 5, and culminates with the Circle City IN Pride Festival, held at the American Legion Mall, between St. Clair and Michigan, Meridian and Pennsylvania, on Saturday, June 13, 2015.
