Twitter Drags Ivanka Trump Over LGBTQ Pride Tweet

Friday June 2, 2017

President Donald Trump seemingly went out of his way to not proclaim June LGBTQ Pride Month. But his eldest daughter Ivanka Trump tried to set things right, tweeting out a message and support to LGBTQ Americans. Unsurprisingly, that didn't sit well with Twitter users.

On Thursday evening, Ivanka Trump tweeted she is "proud to support my LGBTQ friends... who have made immense contributions to our society and economy."

It didn't take long for Twitter users to drag her, pointing out the hypocrisy of her support and affiliation to the Trump administration, which has been less than stellar when it comes to LGBTQ rights. Many Twitter users pointed out that Ivanak Trump supports Vice President Mike Pence, who has an anti-LGBTQ record.
