Atlanta Celebrates 47th Annual Pride Festival

Wednesday October 11, 2017

The Atlanta Pride Committee has a great entertainment line-up for the 2017 Atlanta Pride Festival, held this weekend from October 13-15.

In addition to the Coca-Cola Stage and Bud Light Stage, the 2017 Atlanta Pride Festival will feature a third stage, the Nissan Celebrate Equality Stage. All three stages will be filled with a host of dynamic performances and interesting acts throughout the weekend! From hot new artist Norwood to perennial favorites, the Michel Jons Band, the stages will be going strong all weekend! If that isn't enough, we've got DJ's, dance parties, a comedy block and more!

The eclectic host of talent includes country singer, Ty Herndon, whose biggest hits include "What Mattered Most" and "Living in a Moment;" along with DCD2 Recording Artist, MAX, best known for his hit, "Lights Down Low." Rounding out the weekend is the celebrated hip-hop group, Grammy-winning Arrested Development!

The alternative pioneers, best known for such monster hits as "People Every Day," "Mr. Wendal," and "Tennessee" will perform on the Coca-Cola stage, which will also highlight up and comer, Madison Beer; red-hot DeJ Loaf; singer, actor and television host, Rita Ora; as well as multi-Grammy-winning, legendary pop divas, The Pointer Sisters! The Pointer Sisters are sure to perform such mega dance numbers as, "I'm So Excited," "Jump," "Neutron Dance," "He's So Shy," and "Slow Hand."

"We are thrilled to be able to offer a third stage to festival-goers this year, and we are especially proud to be able to expand our line-up and provide great entertainment across all three of our stages," said APC Executive Director, Jamie Fergerson. "We have so much talent in our community and in our allies -- to have the opportunity to feature these performers and showcase their support, is especially exciting for the APC."

She continued, "While many other large Pride celebrations have moved to ticketing portions of their festival, thanks to the support of Atlanta's LGBTQ community and our sponsors alike, we can stay true to our commitment to keeping the festival and our entertainment free of charge."

Fergerson added, "Because of the support we receive, we are able to offer a high quality, diverse line-up. From Grammy-winning artists to current pop chart toppers and country greats -- we've got something for everyone in our entertainment line-up!"

The Nissan Celebrate Equality Stage is located on the dock behind the Visitors Center which is located by the 12th Street Gate and the Atlanta Pride Market, Purple Row. The Bud Light Stage is located next to the pavilion by the active oval, and the Coca-Cola Stage is located at the top of the Meadow at 10th St. near the Charles Allen Gate, all within Piedmont Park.
