First Pitch at Pride Night @ Fenway Park to be Raffled
Imagine yourself on the pitcher's mound at Fenway Park, ready to throw out the first pitch before the game. Here's a great way to do just that and also support two great causes. Boston Pride, in partnership with the Boston Red Sox and Victory Programs, is raffling off the opportunity to throw the first pitch at Pride Night @ Fenway Park on Thursday, June 7. With just 200 raffle tickets available at $100 each, this raffle is expected to sell out! Proceeds from the raffle will benefit Boston Pride and Victory Programs.
"Throwing the first pitch at Fenway Park was truly a once in a lifetime experience...never mind, during Pride night," said Danny Tyrrell, last year's winner. "It was an incredibly exciting moment to share with my family and friends on such a special weekend for our community."
In addition to the first pitch, the winner also will receive four tickets to the game with seats in the exclusive State Street Pavilion, parking at the Ipswich Street garage, dinner for four at Boston Chops in the South End, four Red Sox Pride hats and four Red Sox Pride flags.
Be sure to secure your chance to win before the official drawing on Wednesday, May 2, at the newly opened Explorateur from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The winner need not be present. If you would like to participate, please click here to get your raffle tickets.
Boston Pride Week 2018 will kick-off with the Pride flag raising on City Hall Plaza on Friday, June 1 and continues with events throughout the week, including Pride Night @Fenway as the Red Sox host the Detroit Tigers at 7:10 pm. Pride Night @ Fenway Park game tickets include a pre-game Pride Party on the right field roof deck, with a DJ spinning tunes for Pride Red Sox fans. In addition, Boston Gay Men's Chorus will be performing the National Anthem before the game.
Pride Week ends with the annual Boston Pride Parade and Festival on Saturday, June 9 and the Pride Block Parties on Sunday, June 10 in the Back Bay and Jamaica Plain.
The social media hashtags for the 2018 Boston Pride celebration will be #WickedProud and #RainbowResistance.
