Gay Day at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Event Goes On In 2009: Two Florida Charities to Benefit

The yearly magical event at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park during the Gay Days at Disney celebration in Orlando, Florida will go on as usual this year on Friday night (June 5th). The event now known as Let's Go Play!, is being produced by East Gate Events and will feature the incredible DJ Lydia Prim.

Orlando locals, as well as those visiting from around the world, will once again meet, mix, swim, dance, play and mingle at this private event inside Disney's premier water park. Participants attending this event in the past have totaled up to 5,500 people.

Running from 8:00 pm to 2:00 am, this wild night offers everything from dancing under the stars and cash-bar cocktails to surfing in the wave pools and plunging down water slides, yes, the rides will be open. Those that have been in the past will tell you... "It is one of the best events of the weekend!"

Giving Back

Let's Go Play 2009 is honored to donate a portion of the net proceeds from this event to two Florida charities; Broward House, Fort Lauderdale's oldest and largest HIV/AIDS community service organization providing a myriad of services including medical, case management, and housing to those infected and affected HIV/AIDS and other debilitating diseases and Hope and Help Center providing assistance with programs such as Case Management, Peer Support Services, Food Pantry, Education and Care for individuals living with the HIV/AIDS in the Central Florida community.
