The Things that 'Alligator-a-Phobia in 3D''s Leah Kreitz Can't Perform Without
In what might just be the most compellingly-named show to play Boston this year, "Alligator-a-Phobia in 3D" — a play with music by Jay Eddy — Leah Kreitz stars as Happy, one half of a happy couple that moves to Swampland and finds herself ever obsessed with the local alligators. Touted as "one part door farce, one part monster movie," "Alligator-a-Phobia in 3D" promises to be one hell of an absurd horror-comedy.
The Los Angeles-born, Las Vegas-bred, current Brooklynite — who is a resident artist with New Light Theater Project — recently shared with EDGE the products she can't perform without. Here's what's on her list:
Matchaful Hikari Single Origin Matcha
"Energy to get through long rehearsal days & the show (have you seen that chase scene?!) without any extra coffee jitters. I usually go iced with almond milk." $65, Matchaful.
Herbivore Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Face Mist
"Apparently, Boston winter is no joke. Love this spritz for a little refresh throughout the day." $36, Herbivore.
BAGGU 3D Zip Set
"I'm obsessed. I use their totes to drag everything between the apartment and the theater. The 3D zip set is perfect for all my show makeup, pens, and highlighters I use in rehearsal, phone cables and gadgets, etc., etc. And all their patterns are super cute." $36, Baggu.
Singing Straw
"Warming up before this powerhouse of a show is vital." $69, Singing Straw.
Airborne
"Gotta keep the immune system up to make it through the run!" $10.49, CVS.
Trader Joe's Everything But The Bagel Nuts
"I always keep a bag of these on me. They're an easy pick me up and so yummy." $3.99, Trader Joe's.
A Good Book
"A good book for when your brain needs a break from running lines. I'm currently reading the 'Wheel of Time' series." $10.22, Bookshop.org.
