According those in the know, the compelling story of the birth of Poppers goes something like this:

Well, as fate would have it, (and due to some very bad drugs) Mary never really got off the ground, until NOW! Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls get ready for a rollicking ride through the twisted imaginations of Boston's foremost comedic troupe, The Gold Dust Orphans as we bring you the one musical parody we have been waiting a lifetime to present!
