Bluewater Comic Releases "Big Gay Comic Book"

For Gay Pride Month, Bluewater teams up with popular LGBTQIA website, LezGetReal.com, to celebrates the lives of the icons and activists, performers and pundits who have made a difference in the gay community. The Big Gay Comic Book will be out in two volumes over 200-pages in each.

"We are so excited and honored to be part of this project with Bluewater," said J. Wolffe of LezGetReal. "It is a historical time we are living in and these novels will be part of it as it documents the most iconic influences in the LGBTQIA Communities all over the world. We couldn't be prouder."

The two-volume graphic novel set is a digital exclusive and are available for order. The release date for Volume 1 was June 25 with a cover by famed artist Michael Troy. The Big Gay Comic Book: Volume 1 features writers C.W. Cooke, Steve Stone, Marc Shapiro, Sandra C. Ruckdeschel, Kristopher Smith and Dan Rafter. Artists include Nathan Girten, Michael Johnson, Jill Lamarina, Gene DeCicco, Pedro Ponzo, Zach Bassett, Alex Schumacher, Jason Moser and Kristopher Smith.

Bluewater celebrates the lives of the icons and activists, performers and pundits who have made a difference in the LGBTQ community. Celebrate with them in this graphic novel featuring the stories behind the musicians Cher, Madonna, and Kylie Minogue, television personalities Tom Daley, Kathy Griffin, Anderson Cooper, and Rosie O'Donnell, and the effervescent RuPaul. This is a special edition in collaboration with the popular LGBTQ website Lez Get Real.

The Big Gay Comic Book: Volume 2 features writers Spike Steffenhagen, Mike Lynch, Sandra C. Ruckdeschel, Melissa Seymour, C.W. Cooke and Willi Blob. Artists include Manuel Daz, Ricardo Jaime, Dan Glasl, Joe Paradise, Larry Nadolsky, Alessandro Miracolo and Willi Blob.

This book will celebrate the stories behind Stonewall, Freddie Mercury, Keith Haring and the musicians Barbra Streisand, Olivia Newton-John, Lady Gaga, Joan Jett and Britney Spears.
