PopUps: Watch 1st Teaser for 'AHS: Hotel' Starring Lady Gaga
It looks like Mother Monster is living up to her nickname.
Lady Gaga took to Twitter Monday night to post the first clip for the upcoming season of "American Horror Story," subtitled "Hotel."
"I hope u like being scared," the "Applause" singer tweeted, adding the 10-second "Hotel" teaser, which is titled "Front Desk."
Though the clip doesn't reveal much about the season, which will likely air this October, it shows a creepy silver hand with long fingernails ringing a bell.
As of this writing, the video has been seen nearly 500,000 times.
"The Lady is ready to check in to 'AHS:Hotel' this October on FX," the video's description reads.
Not much has been revealed about "Hotel," but "AHS" co-creator Ryan Murphy discussed the fifth season of the FX anthology series, and the first to not feature leading lady Jessica Lange, during Comic-Con last weekend. Murphy gave the names to a number of cast members, including Mat Bomer, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters and Angela Bassett.
When talking about Gaga's role, he said she will play bad and not to expect any singing. Gaga is specifically going to only act on "Hotel" but fashion will be a main component in Gaga's first major acting gig.
"She said, 'I want to be evil,'" the show creator said about his first meeting with Gaga, who approached him for the show. "I said, 'You came to the right place.'"
"It was one of the weirdest things of my career ever," Murphy said of Mother Monster. "'Horror Story' has a lot of fans obviously and I get calls from some people...how it happened with Gaga is she wrote and said, 'I love the show, would you consider putting me on it?' And I wrote back, 'Yes. CAPS CAPS...' The best call ever is 'Please wait for Gaga'...and she got on the phone and could not have been lovelier."
