PopUps: Calvin Harris Reportedly Wrote Breakup Song About Swift

Thursday July 7, 2016

Update: Singer John Newman confirmed "Ol" is his single and a collaboration with Calvin Harris. It will drop Friday, Idolator reports.

Calvin Harris is taking a note from ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift and is working on a breakup song, TMZ reports.

The track is called "Ol" and it's reportedly written from the point of view of Tom Hiddleston, the British actor who is currently dating Tay. TMZ notes the song's lyrics make it clear the DJ believes Taylor, a pop star who built a career from penning breakup songs about famous ex-boyfriends, was hooking up with Hiddleston long before she called it quits with the "Summer" singer.

"I see online that you begun to be a good girl and take trips with your boyfriend. Being attentive, continue to pretend," one lyric reads, according to the celeb news site. Another apparently goes: "You've hidden my name in your phone so you can call me to tell me you've been going through hell. Left him alone and you booked in a hotel."

Harris even nods at Hiddleston's "Thor" villain Loki with the lyric: "Low key you won't tell none of your friends about me."

Sources told TMZ Harris isn't upset with the "Crimson Peak" star and believes Hiddleston is under Taylor's spell.

The site also has points to an Instagram pic of Harris with singer John Newman, who reportedly provides the vocals on "Ol." TMZ reports the music video for the song was shot in Mexico last week.

Harris has allegedly been salty about his breakup with Tay. Several reports claim he answered fans' questions about their relationship via Instagram but later deleted his comments.
