PopUps: Watch Bieber Address Recent Behavior on UK Tour

Monday October 31, 2016

It was reported last week Justin Bieber has been displaying some odd behavior while on tour in the U.K. Most recently, he yelled at fans to take it easy while he was performing before walking off stage.

The Canadian singer tweeted, then quickly deleted, a note Saturday night that was directed at fans, explaining why he abruptly left the concert. He later posted a video addressing his behavior.

"People tend to want to shut you down. What I mean by that is... people try to twist things, some people don't want to listen," Bieber wrote in the now-deleted note, according to Variety. "But I simply feel like, if I didn't use this platform to say how I truly feel, and if I didn't use this platform to be the man that I know I am, and speak from what's in my heart, then I'm doing myself injustice, and I'm not doing anybody in this audience any justice."

The "Sorry" singer went on:

"There's going to be times where I say the wrong thing, because I'm human. But I don't pretend to be perfect and I hope to God that, you know, I don't say the right thing all the time because if that was the case then I'd be a robot, and I'm just, I'm not a robot. There's times when I get upset... times when I get angry, there's times when I'm going to be frustrated. But I'm always going to be myself on this stage."

The show in question took place in Manchester, England on Oct. 23. Bieber is currently performing a string of shows in the U.K. for his Purpose World Tour. After begging his Beliebers to calm down between songs, Bieber dropped his mic and walked off stage.

"I appreciate all the support, I appreciate love I appreciate the kind things," Bieber told fans at the time. "But the screaming in these breaks has got to stop. Please and thank you. I don't think it's necessary when I'm trying to say something and you guys are screaming."

At an earlier show, Bieber asked fans in Birmingham, England to stay quiet, saying "screaming is just so obnoxious," Variety notes.

Though Bieber deleted his recent note, the singer posted a video Sunday, which shows him on tour and explaining his recent behavior to a live audience. In the clip, the 21-year-old pop star explains about using his platform to say "what I truly feel... and speak from what's in my heart."

"There's going to be times where I say the wrong thing because I'm human," he says. "I don't pretend to be perfect and I hope to God that I don't say the right thing all the time because if that was the case i'd be a robot.

"And I'm not a robot and there's going to be times where I get upset and times where I get angry and times where I'm gong to be frustrated," he added. "Butt I'm always going to be myself on this stage."

The crowed cheered and Bieber continued:

"So when people try to twist things and say 'Justin is angry at his fans; he doesn't want his fans to scream,' that's not at all what I was doing," he said, referring to his recent outbursts. "All I was simply doing was wanting to people to listen and kind of hear me out a little bit.

"And certain people, certain cities aren't going to want to hear and sometimes it's my job to say,'OK,' I catch a vibe and I'm not going try to force something."
