PopUps: Netflix Renews 'Mindhunter,' Starring Jonathan Groff
Netflix announced Thursday it is renewing its popular drama "Mindhunter," starring Johnathan Groff, for the second season Deadline reports.
Created by Joe Penhall and produced by David Fincher and Charlize Theron, "Mindhunter" became a wildly popular series for the streaming service after debuting on Oct. 13. It also received favorable reviews from critics and has a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Set in the late 70s, "Mindhunter," which also stars Holt McCallany and Anna Trov, follows FBI agents Holden Ford (Groff) and Bill Tench (McCallany) as they investigated the minds of serial killers, hoping to gleam motivations as to why they carry out vicious acts.
