See Who Won Mr. Man's 2021 Manatomy Awards

Tuesday April 27, 2021

Another set of awards were announced this week, not in a glitzy ceremony like Oscars ceremony Sunday, rather on the NSFW website Mr. Man.

"The 2021 Manatomy Awards are finally here, and we are so excited to bring you the year's hottest celebrity nudity across movies and television!" reads its website.

If anyone can pick the winners, it's Mr. Man, which is a website that "specializes in locating, rating, and posting instances of male nudity in film and television. The site is a spin-off from the popular site Mr. Skin and went live in October 2013," according to its Wikepedia entry.

"In fact, 2020 was one of the best years for dudity (dude nudity) ever! From Best Butt (Nicholas Hoult's wet ass) to Best Full Frontal (Tom Mercier's huge Israeli penis and balls) to the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award (Mark Ruffalo and his daddy cock and bush), The 2021 Manatomy Awards include something for everyone," reads the description.

Best Full Frontal:Tom Mercier in "We Are Who We Are"

Luca Guadagnino's HBO series "We Are Who We Are" introduced Israeli actor Tom Mercier to a larger audience after his acclaimed performance in Israeli director Nadav Lapid's 2019 "Synonyms," a drama about an Israeli man who moves to Paris to escape his homeland. On the show he played an American soldier who flirts with the show's teen protagonist after the boy wanders in a locker room and sees him in the shower. For more on the scene, follow this link.

Best Butt: Nicholas Hoult in "The Great"

On Hulu's "The Great" British hunk Nicholas Hoult plays Peter, but not in Peter the Great. Rather he is the ineffectual, though dangerous consort to Catherine II (Elle Fanning), who is the titular character. Hoult's character is something of a 18-century bro, but has great sexual charisma on this hit series. In one scene from the show he climbs out a bathtub and makes a casual stroll of the palace, much to the shock of everyone he meets. Hoult, though, is completely relaxed thoughout.

Best Gay Scene: Paapa Essiedu and Samson Ajewole in "I May Destroy You"

One of the most powerful series of the year was HBO's "I May Destroy You," writer and actor Michaela Coel's mini-series about a young British woman dealing with the aftermath of having been raped. Her problem, though, was that she was drugged and can't fully recall the details. One of her bffs is Kwame (Paapa Essiedu) who is hot for a three-way with his crush Derae (Ansu Kabia) and a stranger they met on a hook-up app (Samson Ajewole); but when Kabia unexpectly departs, he makes the best of it with Ajewole.

Best TV Show: "Industry"

The terrific British series "Industry" (seen in the U.S. on HBO) is set in the cut-throat world of high finance and follows a group of industry newbies during their first months at a prestigious investment firm. They work hard and play hard, which means copious drugs use and sex of all kinds of sex. One of its protagonists is Harry Lawtey, who has sex with anyone of either sex and appeared in a steaming hand-job scene in a public restroom.

Best Picture: "The Prince"

The 2019 Chilean film "The Prince" ("El Príncipe"), directed by Sebastián Muñoz, was based on a 1970 book about prison life that was banned because of its explicit homosexuality. In the film Muñoz "gives us a film designed to simultaneously shock and arouse us — frequent full-frontal nudity, explicit and sometimes graphic depictions of gay sex," wrote the LA Blade in its review. Mr. Man puts it this way: "The Prince delivers multiple real cum shots from star Juan Carlos Maldonado, Cesare Serra's rock hard member, and even a gay shower scene featuring some older/younger lovin'! Plus check out four barely legal studs getting naked in the mud."

Best Netflix Nude: Regé-Jean Page in "Bridgerton"

The break-out star of Netflix's period drama "Bridgerton" is Regé-Jean Page, and it is easy to understand why. His cool demeanor and leading man looks are just one reason he's in contention to be the next James Bond. As the randy Simon Bassett, Duke of Hastings, he had no qualms about appearing in the nude. Alas, though, he recently announced he would not be returning for the second season.

Best Wet Peach: K.J. Apa in "Songbird"

KJ Apa may be feeling confined by his long-term commitment to "Riverdale," where he has played Archie Andrews since 2016. But the 23-year old New Zealand-born hunk found some relief with his starring role in the Michael Bay-produced sci-fi thriller "Songbird," which is set in L.A. during the breakout of an even deadlier virus than Covid. He plays a survivor who acts as a messenger who sets out to rescue a young woman from authorities. Early in the film he took a shower, which marked the actor's first nude scene.

Most Devilish Derriere: Tom Ellis in "Lucifer"

For the fourth season of "Lucifer," Tom Ellis got ripped. Then in the fifth season he teased the show's fans by showing his lean backside.

Best Skinny Dip: Sebastiano Pigazzi in "We Are Who We Are"

Throughout "We Are We Who We Are" its teens and young adults — both Italian and American — had no problem stripping down, be it on the beach or partying in a vacant house they break into. One of the Italian youths who befriends the Americans at the army base where the story takes place is hottie Sebastiano Pigazzi who had many pause their DVR when he went skinny dipping.

Best Celebrity Drag Makeover: Nico Tortorella in "RuPaul's Celebrity Drag Race"

Nico Tortorella is an actor who never shies from discussing his gender identity. He has made his name on "Younger," took the lead in "The Walking Dead: World Beyond," and co-hosted MTV's "How Far is Tattoo Far;" but this past year he turned heads when he "tapped into his feminine side on RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race, even baring his plump cheeks in a skimpy thong! Shantay, you slay," wrote Mr. Man.
