There's nothing like Halloween party photos to capture a moment in time. Whether you are recreating the biggest celebrity red carpet moment of the year, DIY-ing an unforgettable cinematic scene, referencing the most memorable album of the summer, or embodying a meme that went viral in the group chat — Halloween is a time for pop culture lovers to shine.

We've complied some more costume ideas, this time specifically for the chronically online. These costumes range from 'grab this from your closet and go' to easily-bought-on-the-way, and include some fun suggestions if you prefer to infuse a little handmade creativity into your looks.

Officially confirmed lesbian Velma from "Scooby Doo"

Dressing as Velma, who is now officially lesbian, for Halloween is great because it is both deeply and canonically queer and everything you'll need to achieve this look is easily accessible, from your closet or a dollar store.

You'll need fake glasses (or real — some of us are literally that Velma meme where she says she can't see without her glasses), an orange turtleneck, orange knee-socks, and a burgundy mini-skirt. Even if you have natural freckles, it's always fun to emphasize them for a party. An eyeliner pencil (or felt-tip marker if you're desperate) will do the trick. You'll either want to tuck your hair into the turtle-neck's collar to imitate a bob, or get a wig to complete this iconic character's look.

Bonus points if you make this a couple's costume and dress up as Velma and her girlfriend, Coco Diablo. You'll need a long platinum blonde wig with bangs to nail Coco's look —along with bigger glasses, a burgundy turtleneck, and an (ideally orange) tape measure to wear around your shoulders.

M3GAN, from the upcoming sci-fi horror film "M3GAN"

We only have a few seconds of footage of M3GAN, but she made those moments count. Between her dance moves and her Twitter feud with fellow murderous doll, Chucky, she became an instant hit. To create this costume, you're going to need middle-parted (ideally dirty-blonde) hair, a beige short-sleeve dress or pinafore with light-colored tights to match, a long-sleeve striped shirt to wear underneath, and a tie folded into a bow pinned against your chest. Complete this costume with strong lines of kohl liner around your eyes, and make sure to pout when you're taking pictures. Bonus points if you recreate her incredible dance moves when you drop your look on Instagram.

Lea Michele "can't read" meme

This costume, like the meme it's modeled on, is instantly recognizable, a total crowd pleaser, and easy to use in almost any context. It's especially useful if you need to dress up for an office Halloween party, but still have errands to run afterwards —because technically it's a regular outfit, but the devil's in the details. (The details: A blank stare and an arm held up.) All this costume requires is loose curls, a middle part, and a beige blazer with something orange peeking out from underneath it. It's simple to achieve, with really fun pay-off doing that Lea Michele pose and empty "I can't read" stare in every photo you take.

"The Bear" kitchen staff

Got a white t-shirt? Cool, now get a dark-blue apron. Perfect. You're sorted on the part of the costume you can buy to portray Carmen Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) in FX's hit drama "The Bear." The required messy hair, sparkling eyes, and haven't-slept-in-days vibe is easily manufactured, but it's all on you to lock down.

More importantly, in addition to the outfit, you will also need to call everyone "Chef" all night while in costume. Yes, Chef! Thank you, Chef!

Recreating outfits from "Do Revenge"

There are so many phenomenal, colorful outfits in this sapphic film that it's difficult to choose one. If you wear it as a couple's costume, you can pick two! I highly recommend rewatching "Do Revenge" (or scrolling the Twitter hashtag) to find a moment that really speaks to you, and build from there. Two DIY-friendly favorites include Camila Mendes in a lilac ruched bandeau top and butter yellow shorts, and Maya Hawke's metallic party look with an orange halter neck crop-top made entirely of zippers. The pastel school uniform with an over-the-shoulder jacket is also great if you want to go in a group, and only requires knowing one person with basic sewing skills to make a bunch of matching little capes and bows to wear together with your plaid skirts and lilac berets.

Rosalía chewing gum meme

You can recreate this meme in literally any color as long as you have a mini-skirt, knee-high socks, and a sweater in vaguely similar shades. If your hair is long enough to braid to achieve the full Rosalía-on-stage effect, good for you! Otherwise, you'll need to pick up either hair extensions to braid into yours, or two clip-in braids to attach. Then, because we are not all on her level of dramatic fake chewing, absolutely vital to this costume is a supply of chewing gum, and a commitment to chew messily on demand. For photos you'll want to do the hand on your hip, obnoxious facial expression, and chew, mama!

Ryan Gosling as Ken in the upcoming live-action film "Barbie"

If you don't already have these first two items in your closet, someone you know certainly will: This Greta Gerwig-directed Ken look starts with denim shorts and a matching denim vest. The only other thing you'll need is to make a big decision: Will you be rocking classic CK briefs, or buying generic briefs with a plain white band that you can personalize (a steady hand and a black marker will do) to say "Ken" like Ryan's do.

You'll get bonus points for bleaching your hair, but the open denim vest and himbo facial expression is the real gold here.

Taylor Swift's "Midnights" album cover

This one goes out to the classic costumers who like a little cardboard work. With this costume, we're basically embodying the moment when the "Midnights" album cover dropped and everyone came up with their own interpretation of it. You are the album cover, whatever that means to you. First, organize a cardboard frame that you can wear. It's probably easiest to search "Midnights album cover template" and get your local printing spot to make it happen. Taylor has released three alternate covers since the viral cover moment, so there's even more to work with. You could do anything with it!

Make the cardboard just big enough to surround your face, perfect that sparkly eye makeup, and keep a lighter at hand so that you can flick it into action any time a camera comes near (This is also convenient if you're already going to be smoking all night). If you're feeling very creative, go ahead and personalize the track titles. If you know three other Swifties looking for an easy fix, you could each wear a part of the four-piece clock that the "Midnights" record turns into, positioned so that when you stand together it's complete.
