Will the boys of "Bros" be back? Despite star and co-writer Billy Eichner's film proving to be a box office disappointment, hints are piling up that a sequel to the movie, which featured an all-LGBTQ+ cast, might be in the works.

Speaking with British outlet Attitude from the red carpet of the film's UK premiere, co-star Luke Macfarlane said that he'd "absolutely" be on board with a sequel. "I don't know where we would find Aaron and Bobby... If we met them three years afterward or three months after when they have to reassess their relationship," he said.

However, Macfarlane went on to joke that the window for a sequel might not be open very long. Noting that "it took a long time to get to this point" with the first film, the 42-year-old actor told the publication, "I can imagine by the time we film 'Bros 2' I'll be 50 and it'll be a totally different movie."

Eichner, too, has mentioned a sequel, albeit seemingly in jest. Telling Yahoo! News about a cameo appearance in the movie by Liam Hemsworth that didn't end up happening due to COVID travel restrictions, Eichner suggested, "Maybe 'Bros 2.'"

Director and co-writer Nick Stoller also hinted at a sequel, Digital Spy reported. Talking about the song that closes out the film — which Eichner wrote — Stoller entertained the idea that maybe Bobby and Aaron's story could go on.

"You know, it's hard to think of comedy sequels," Stoller mused. "But these are all characters that I can certainly follow into other things, definitely. It's so funny and rich."
