Republican Congressional Candidate Clutches His Pearls Over Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion's New Song 'WAP'
Cardi B's new song "WAP," featuring Megan Thee Stallion, is nothing short of a viral sensation. After releasing the super-sexy music video for the outrageous bop, Twitter lit up with reactions and memes featuring the two rappers. And though the song was met with mostly praise (especially from songwriter Diane Warren!), James P. Bradley, a Republican running for a Congressional seat in California, had a different reaction, which is going viral in its own right.
Taking to Twitter on Friday morning — just a few hours after "WAP" (which stands for "Wet-Ass Pussy") was released, Bradley wrote: "Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion are what happens when children are raised without God and without a strong father figure.
"Their new 'song' The #WAP (which i heard accidentally) made me want to pour holy water in my ears and I feel sorry for future girls if this is their role model!" he added.
"Secondly, while I personally take offense to the lyrics and messaging of this song, I absolutely respect her 1st Amendment right to make it. Also surprised that twitter doesn't mind this kind of free speech but has a problem with conservative free speech," the Congressman wrote in a follow up message.
Of course, Twitter was quick to drag Bradley. Find the best responses below along with the "WAP" music video.
